Upload #1493 ~ HQ from UK 45 pictured ~~ 1965 Recut, "Batman" styled Crazy Hipster version that will Thrill or Disgust. We've known the 1956 original since the early 1980s & this version is Great Fun. Likely Jack Marshall arrangement if not credited, this was only the B side on the USA copy if 'Some Naughty Elf' at UK EMI put it as the A side. The amount who must have collapsed on hearing this & he changed the 'Bless My Soul' line too. This Record is Way Cool but try find the UK one. B side is "Hicktown" a corny Pop Dancer with Hillbilly style not far from 'Life Gits Teejus' track.

USA Billboard Country chart Jun 1965 #9 hit on 'Hicktown', if no Pop hit. No more hits until a 1969-76 batch if none highethan #52 & no Pop hits. #9 Country Hit charted 16 weeks, if not a Pop Hit too is still not easy to find on the USA copy.
