The head of the International Monetary Fund says there′s reason to be worried about the global economy.
In a speech Wednesday,... IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said a marked slowdown in big emerging markets will cut global growth to its lowest level since the deep global recession of 2009.
She said it is unclear if the current situation is cyclical or if it represents a fundamental downturn.
Lagarde added that the prospect of a rate hike in the U.S. and China′s slowdown are contributing to uncertainty and higher market volatility.
