A project I'd done as a final for my design class. Technically this is sort of cut 2 as I had to re-render this for YouTube which has produced some interesting results.
This was meant to be projected much larger than screen size.I wanted to do it on the side of a building, but had to project it onto a wall maybe 20' wide. This is much smaller so the details aren't coming through as much as I want, but something interesting happened (at least I think so) in this second rendering. There's a lot more movement because of the codec I think, so it's kind of a happy accident.
This was an attempt to do something sort of like in Fantasia 2 to Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin. It's one of my favorite songs. There are 3 sections to it each about 5 mins in length.
This was created using Corel Painter 11. There's a feature where you can record your strokes then replay it. It's got a lot of potential but isn't quite perfect. I had to do a lot of compromising with what i really wanted.
I also used Daz Carrara 8 Pro for the 3D bits and it was put together in Adobe Premiere CS5
Overall I was happy with the initial finished project.
This is an interesting render of it as well i think.
Enjoy.
