Jammu & Kashmir: One terrorist was killed in an encounter by security forces in Jammu Kashmir's Shopian. On October 2, a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was killed during a clash with security personnel in the Shopian area of Jammu and Kashmir. They said that Naseer Ahmad Bhat, of the Shopian neighborhood of Nowpora, was the terrorist. As the security forces were conducting searches in the region, the terrorists opened fire at them. Security forces conducted a cordon and search operation in the Baskuchan area of the south Kashmir district after obtaining specific information about the presence of militants there.
