Citing its lack of impact on violent crime, the Marion County Prosecutor's Office will no longer prosecute simple marijuana possession cases. Misdemeanor possession charges of less than one ounce will no longer be prosecuted in Marion County, effective Monday. Under Indiana law, those cases would be considered a Class B misdemeanor.
