Hey everyone,
I've been getting into aerial videography recently! I purchased a Mavic Mini 2 drone and have been absolutely loving learning the ropes. There are lots of hills, tall trees and obstacles to avoid in Nashville so it's trial by fire!
I'm going to Spain for 5 weeks to walk the Camino de Santiago as we speak and I really wanted to share some of my passion for capturing the beauty of our world from the air with you, even though in a lot of these shots I had no idea what I was doing and used quite mediocre settings.
I've learned a bit more how to capture footage manually and have some ND filters to get slower frame rates which look more cinematic since then — you can see it in a couple of the shots.
You know when they say "it's the thought that counts?" Well, I truly have a passion for visually/auditorally conveying the sublimity of existence, and I just HAVE to share it with you!
You can expect more shots like these (and hopefully much better as well as I learn!)
I also created the background music for this video in Logic Pro based around an ambient track that my good friend @rjernigan09 created. You can hear its ethereal swirls as the backbone of the entire composition. Really, it's meant to just highlight the shots, so it repeats quite a bit ;-)
