A trip to Lake Mulwala on the weekend and a visit to the Yarrawonga Weir.
The flow rate at the time of footage taken was 64,500 ML per day. Lake at 96% capacity 💦 with a huge amount of water being released downstream into the Murray River.
Took the DJI Mini 3 pro for a flight to capture some aerial footage.
My first visit to the site since a hydroelectric generation facility was commissioned in June 1994 and upgraded works to the park.
The facility has a maximum capacity of about 9.6 MW. With all the water being released - looks impressive.
Yarrawonga Weir is located on the Murray River near the towns of Yarrawonga in Victoria and Mulwala in NSW. The Weir is approximately 230 km downstream of Lake Hume and 1,992 km from Murray's mouth.
