"Pandolfi's Labyrinth"
This was the first sonata that we recorded. It was the initial inspiration that started this project!
Enter the inner world of violinist Majka Demcak’s mind, as she tells the stories of battles, love and loss, reimagined to accompany her interpretation of the Pandolfi Violin Sonatas.
Little is known of composer Giovanni Antonio Pandolfi Mealli, but what we do know is that this virtuoso violinist had an extraordinary and adventurous life. Stories of distant travels, forbidden loves, court debauchery and even murder all colour the palate of Pandolfi’s music so vividly!
