Hello Hoppers! How many of you have had a layover of more than 4 hours or your flight delayed for several hours and you just stayed at the airport waiting for time to pass by? It's OK, you can leave the airport and still not miss your flight. I've done it many times. Of course, it depends on how much time you have to spare and what you decide to do. I once saw people having a picnic in a grassy area near the airport. If you are flying from a small airport it is usually easy to get out and go to a neighboring town to have lunch or go for a walk. If you are leaving from a major airport, there are usually 2-hr city tours you can take. Or you can just take public transportation and do some sight-seeing. I understand you don't want to risk being late for your flight, but if you have a chance consider leaving the airport and discovering something new.

✅ I once had an evening flight from Frankfurt Hahn Airport but there was only one airport bus available from Mannheim, very early in the morning, so I had to wait 10 hours for my flight!!
What would you do in my place? I survived thanks to thinking through my options and choosing the best one for me. I hope this video helps.
