I froze when he smiled, despite the fact that he was wearing a helmet. Dimples, to be precise. My phony blind date hadn't invited me to watch hockey with him; instead, he had invited me to watch him play.

That was the start of my journey with Max Yearwood. He was everything I needed at the time: fun, sexy, up for anything, and only around for a few months before joining a new team 3,000 miles away. Max proposed that we spend the summer assisting me in forgetting about my ex. It sounded like a good idea at the time.
