The origin of the Legent Yamazaki Cask Finish Limited Edition 2024 is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon, which was produced by Fred Noe from American grain. This whiskey then travelled across the Pacific to Japan, where it was finished at the Suntory Yamazaki distillery. Some of the bourbon was initially stored in French oak wine barrels and in oak barrels from Spain in which sherry had previously been matured. Another part was selected for maturation in sherry casks that had previously been used for the Japanese Yamazaki single malt whisky. Finally, the three unique batches were married with a large quantity of the original Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey before everything was returned to Clermont, Kentucky for bottling. The Legent Yamazaki Cask Finish Limited Edition 2024 is bottled at 57% vol.
