Gov. Rick Scott, Buckingham resident and cancer survivor Gail Johns, and two executives from 21st Century Oncology, CEO Daniel Dosoretz and Chief Medical Officer Constantine Mantz, speak outside one of the company's Fort Myers treatment centers about $30 million in proposed additional funding for cancer centers. Scott is asking to raise the amount of money for Florida cancer centers and state-funded research grants from $50 million to $80 million in the upcoming budget, which he's expected to approve in the next several weeks.
