Here we introduce one of L.S. Starrett’s first patents. There were quite a few variations produced and here we have the 8 and 10 inch models. These Hashers sold for $5- back in 1865, almost a week’s salary! 14 years after this patent Starrett would patent his famous Tri-square and many other tool patents would follow.
