The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) revealed that around 10 million people benefited from the SRD grant monthly. However, Sassa received millions of R350 grant applications that were unsuccessful.
Clients whose R350 grant application was declined have the right to appeal the decision made by Sassa. However it is important to note that the R350 grant appeals process has changed.
Sassa no longer deals with the R350 grant appeals. They are now dealt with by the Independent Tribunal for Social Assistance Appeals who will consider appeal applications.
