Once upon a time, in a small village in India called Gehlor, there lived a man named Dashrath Manjhi. He loved his wife very much. But one day, she got very sick, and because there was a huge mountain between their village and the hospital, they couldn’t get help in time. Sadly, she passed away.

Dashrath was heartbroken, but instead of giving up, he decided to do something incredible. Armed with just a hammer and a chisel, he spent 22 years carving a road through the mountain all by himself! He worked day and night to make sure no one else in his village would have to suffer like he did. His hard work created a path that made it easier for people to go to the hospital, school, and market.

In the end, Dashrath became a hero. Even though he passed away in 2007, people still remember him for his bravery, determination, and love for his village. He showed everyone that no mountain is too big to move if you have enough courage!
