Our organizations, Marshall-Putnam Soil and Water Conservation District, the Marshall-Putnam NRCS program and the Wetlands Initiative are sponsoring this educational program to help farmers and landowners learn how to stop the flow of sediment, nitrogen, and phosphorus from row crop land while maintaining profitability.
In today's program we share information on two federal farm bill programs – Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) and the Environmental Incentives Program(EQIP). Farmers and landowners can use these USDA porgrams to help them meet their conservation goals for their land.
The presenter is Dick Marshall. He received his Bachelor of Science in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois, and began working with NRCS in 2002 as a Soil Conservation Technician. In 2004, he was promoted to Soil Conservationist. In 2019, he became the Soil Conservationist working with the Marshall-Putnam Conservation District in the Henry, IL USDA Field Office.
