The University of Chicago Healthy Aging & Alzheimer's Research Care (HAARC) Center seeks to serve as an aging and dementia research hub dedicated to the discovery of factors that promote resilience, resistance, and increased healthspan through multidisciplinary research, community engagement, education, and the development of new evidence-based interventions. The HAARC Center leads international multidisciplinary studies and clinical trials including the SuperAging Research Initiative and the Communication Bridge randomized controlled trial. Current and future HAARC Center initiatives are rooted in expanding understanding of aging, Alzheimer’s, and related dementias and translating the knowledge gained into tangible benefits for individuals and communities alike.
