The Indian Metrological Department on Friday noted that heatwaves are set to increase in several parts of India over the next three days. The weather department noted that heat wave conditions will prevail over West Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra on 12 and 13 May, and over East India from 15 May.The IMD further said that Cyclone Mocha has intensified into very severe cyclonic storm at 5.30 am on Friday. Rainfall very likely over Northeast India from 13 May to 16 May.
