NGOs under the banner of the C19 Peoples Coalition are calling on the government to extend the R350 COVID-19 Social Relief Grant to the end of the current financial year in March next year and to increase it to R580 a month. The grant was put in place 6 months ago to help the unemployed cope during the national lockdown to limit the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. It's set to come to an end at the end of this month.
