What’s up guys?
So you’re ready to tackle one of the hardest trophies in Final Fantasy XV? You’re ready to bring the Adamantoise down? I have the best and easiest strategy for you and it will even work with a low level party, so no need to grind or have a complicated roadmap for the fight.

First things first, here’s what you need to accomplish before accepting the quest from Takka in Hammerhead:
1. You need to finish the game first, otherwise the quest in question won’t be available.
2. The first time you’ll be accessing the post-game content using Umbra to travel back to Past Lucis, Cindy will give you a call and this will unlock the quest called “Let Sleeping Mountains Lie”. This quest is very easy but needs to be completed first before getting to the real challenge.
Once everything is done, you’re ready to tackle the level 99 Adamantoise by talking to Takka in Hammerhead.
The first thing you want to do is equip the ring of Lucii, which is acquired automatically in the later chapters of the game and get close to the Adamantoise. Once you’re close, hold R1 and triangle to use the Alterna spell until it hits. If you miss, no need to use any items, simply hold triangle to warp to a safe point and recover all your MP. Rinse and repeat, it’s that easy.
And when it hits, this happens:

I’m not sure how long it could take or what the odds are, but personally, it took me 5 minutes, which is way faster than a 1 hour strategy fight with a high party level.
Once defeated, go back to Takka in Hammerhead to turn in the quest and get the Tortoise Toppler gold trophy. And in my case, the platinum trophy since it was my last trophy in the game.
