The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland's class K2 steam locomotive number 461, made it first run of 2015. This was a private tour which ran from Connolly Station to Drogheada and back. The tour was organised by Irish Rail, RPSI, Fingal County Libraries and Chrildren's Books Ireland.
The train collected school children at Connolly and took them to Drogheada Station where they god their books signed by well known authors, this was to encourage young children to read books. RTE News also did a report on this trip, I will upload that video so you can see the news report.
The train consisted of RPSI No. 461 and 7 Craven Coaches and one BR Mk1 generator van.
Footage was taken on Thursday the 6th of March 2015.
