The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is now the de facto benchmark for compact premium vehicles. Everything about it—its performance, comfort, technology, and luxurious style—is perfect. Based on the MMA platform, which is designed to accommodate models with combustion engines, the 2025 C-Class is expected to be built. The specifications of the electric motor and battery are not yet known, but the next generation powertrain will probably not be much less than the BMW i3, the Bavarian sedan built on the Neue Klasse platform. The 2025 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a significant improvement over its predecessor, the popular luxury sedan. Speculation, not official confirmation, suggests that the 2025 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be an improvement over the current model, featuring a more aerodynamic and elegant design. Front and center is Mercedes' signature shiny black electric grille; the headlights, unlike the EQE and EQS, may be angled upwards and not integrated into the grille. The C-Class will still prioritize aerodynamics, but will still strive for an athletic and sleek appearance. The vehicle's specifications will likely include a longer wheelbase and lower profile compared to the current model. More than the current model, sleeker and more modern taillights are in the works. Their goal may be to use LED technology to create a more distinctive type of lighting. Some automotive sources put the starting price at around $45,000. This is in line with the $41,500 base price for the 2024 C-Class. Presumably a vehicle for the 2025 model year, it is expected to hit the market later this year. For the 2025 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the only powertrain available is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a 48-volt mild hybrid system. This engine produces 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Standard equipment includes rear-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive (4Matic) is available as an option. Paired with an automatic transmission with nine gears.
