It's 2024 and yet women photographers still aren't seeing equal representation in media. Even when the statistics show us men & women are photographers in equal numbers.
A lot of people think the best photographers will automatically rise to the top regardless of gender, race, or identity, but that's just not the case. We have a cultural bias towards white men in photography and it's not going to go away on its own.
In this video I talk about why representation matters and how we need to consciously and actively pursue it.
