After Sarah’s maid, Lizzie, was done cleaning the apartment, Sarah told her to hide: “My fiance will be here any minute. And I need him to think that I’m a good housekeeper. So, get!”. Unfortunately, John was already at the door. She told Lizzie to hand over her uniform and sit down. When John arrived, he saw his bride tidying up while the maid was sitting around. He said how impressed he was with Sarah. 

And Lizzie… He fired her right away for “doing nothing”.
