October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Monmouth County Commissioner Deputy Director Sue Kiley, Liaison to the County’s Health and Human Services, wants you to know that self-examinations and mammograms are effective screening tools that can detect the disease at its early stages. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime, so it is important to contact your healthcare provider to talk about ways you can protect yourself and loved ones. Think Pink & support those fighting Breast Cancer!
