I feel this book finished my basic education concerning investing in stocks and bonds. This book helped me understand how money compounds when invested long term in traditional index funds. John Bogle goes deep into statistical analysis to illustrate the advantages of investing long term in Traditional Index Funds (TIF) compared to other competing investments such as mutual funds. This book introduces a minimum labor intensive method to take advantage of economic growth long term. VTI would be an example of John Bogle's ideal long term traditional index fund.
