This is the proper way to store, vacuum seal, and freeze your extra steak. Oxygen is your enemy when preserving your steaks. I will show you 2 methods for sealing your ribeye steaks. The first method is using a vacuum sealer. This is the best way to ensure your packages are completely sealed. Once sealed the steaks will last in the freezer 2-3 years.
I also show a second method that is a little more low tech. You just use a plastic zip bag and use the water displacement method. With this method the packages of steak will last about 6 months.
