After over two decades of service, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and veteran Congress parliamentarian Ghulam Nabi Azad signed off from the Upper House. As members of Parliament bid farewell to the Congress Stalwart, Prime Minister Modi broke down while recalling his special connection with the Congress leader. PM lauded Azad and recalled how the erstwhile chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir helped out people from Gujarat who were stuck in J&K due to a terror attack in 2007.
