Holm Oak’s Bec Duffy Presents: 2021 Cabernet Franc

Holm Oak winemaker Bec Duffy is back in the cellar door talking through the winery’s new release Cabernet Franc. She shares what’s special about this grape and this vintage, from aromatics and tasting notes to fantastic food pairings. Pizza, anyone?

Holm Oak has three rare rows of vines currently producing Cabernet Franc. The winery nurtures these and made only 70 cases of this small-parcel release. Characteristic of the variety, its nose displays tomato leaf, raspberry and cassis notes, with a palate that’s fresh, bright and juicy. It’s a lovely lighter red for summer – either on its own or with a delicious antipasto platter.
