This is an unusual Psalm depicting God among the assembly of judges bringing accountability. The high rank of judges is likened to a god, but when a judge beings to feel like they are one things go wrong, Jesus quotes this Psalm not to deny his divinity but so as not to stand on his rights as God.
Let's pray for those in positions of authority to judge; many verdicts that oppose the word of God are being given in our day and just judgment is something to pray for.
