This on ice exercise focuses on the direction of the jump to track up and across, rather than pivoting too much into the circle on the take off. Similar in off-ice, make sure to take off at the half turn mark with the knee against the circle right at the lift off phase to make sure you recreate the same feeling of the forward motion.
