Historical monuments of Tamijan village, Rudsar, Gilan province, IRAN, 2022.
This bridge is located on the relatively full river of Tamijan, in the village of Tamijan, between Rudsar and Amlash, and apparently its original building is from the Safavid period, which was repaired and rebuilt during the Qajar period. This bridge is located along a road that was built throughout Mazandaran and Gilan during the Safavid period and became known as Shah Abbasi Road.
The foundation is made of brick, the floor is of stone and has four wide arches. Its length is 60 m. with a width of 5 m. There are a few chambers within the bridge, so as to shelter travellers.
