This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had camping, and I've camped in some pretty crappy places, including the middle of a swamp. The island was infested with rats which chewed holes in many group's tents and tried to chew through a hard plastic cooler. The mosquitos were also horrible and never went away on the nature trails even during the day time. The campground will be shut down from Aug 4- Oct 31 so the government can treat the rat problem. I also got heat exhaustion and there wasn't anywhere to cool down, besides shade in front of the bathrooms. Even the gift shop didnt allow you inside, so no AC.
