Theresa May says she’s confident of delivering on Brexit, despite being disappointed by a defeat in the House of Commons yesterday.
The Prime Minister arrived in Brussels today for an EU Summit less than 24 hours after she suffered her first Parliament defeat as Prime Minister on the Brexit Vote. An amendment, tabled by Conservative MP Dominic Grieve, gives Parliament a say on the final Brexit deal. It was backed by most Labour MPs, and ten Conservatives, including Gibraltar All Party Group Chairman Bob Neill.
But on her arrival at the EU Council meeting, Ms May said she was determined to build an ambitious and special partnership with the EU.
