How to dodge and defeat the Fafnir boss fight (No Damage, Action Focused). Early Combat tactics and tips on how to beat the a Fafnir. Also showcasing the Precision Dodge ability. This giant lizard boss you encounter early in game during the story and is the forth boss encounter.

Fafnir Tactics:
When the Fafnir lifts its two legs, get ready to perform a precision dodge by pressing R1 as soon as the front feet land on the ground. When the Fafnir raises only one leg really high when its at its highest point, Press R1 to dodge before it starts moving down.

Every time you perform a precision dodge, press square immediately to lunge and land a devastating blow if you have the Precision Dodge ability. You'll know you got it right when you see a blue light slash.

Combat Tips:
Press L1 to lock on. Circle button for Phoenix Shift to dash towards it, you can follow up with a square attack for a Shift Strike. Square Button for your attack combos. If you time the square attack when the enemy is just about to hit you performs a perfect parry. Then R1 to time that perfect dodge. Keep an eye on your special attack rising flames bottom right screen, when the red circle fills complete its ready to use by holding down R2 and the square attack button for some major damage. Below the red enemy health bar is a yellow stagger bar, once depleted it will stagger the enemy where you can unleash your combos before its stagger bar fill back again. Don't forget you can spend ability points to unlock special abilities you can combine with your attack combos.
