Elderberry Syrup Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups of elderberries (fresh, frozen, or dried)
4 cups of filtered water
2 cups Double-E Immune Booster Tea
3 cups food grade vegetable glycerin
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup raw honey
DIRECTIONS:
Place first four ingredients in a crock pot, stir, and turn heat on low. Simmer for 8 hours.
After 8 hours, strain off liquid using a mesh strainer. Add the apple cider vinegar and honey to the liquid and stir thoroughly.
Transfer to Amber bottles and fasten with lids. Store in the fridge up to 6 months.
DOSING:
Adults take 1 Tablespoon once per week for immune maintenance. During illness take 1 Tablespoon 4-5 times per day for 5 days.
Children 1 years old and up :
Take 1 teaspoon per week for immune maintenance. Take 1-3 teaspoons per day for 5 days during illness.
Due to the syrup containing honey this IS NOT RECOMMENDED for children under 1 years of age.
