Bengal Recruitment Scam News: West Bengal Minister Partha Chatterjee's close aide, Arpita Mukherjee, who had Rs 20 crore in cash at home, has been arrested. Partha Chatterjee was produced before the Bankshall Court in Kolkata. Partha Chatterjee was arrested today by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with West Bengal's alleged teacher recruitment scam. The arrest comes just a day after Rs 20 crore was recovered from Mukherjee’s home. While the CBI is looking into the alleged irregularities committed in the School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment, the ED is tracking the money trail in the scam. Soon after Partha Chatterjee and Arpita Mukherjee were arrested, Chatterjee complained of chest pains and was taken to Kolkata’s SSKM hospital. Stay with India Today for LIVE Updates.
