Now this is gonna be a great option for a lot of different applications, and it really does just save you having to install a brake controller on multiple vehicles, or even on your own vehicle. Some of them have a factory tow package to make it super easy to plug and play. But if that's not the case, that's where the Echo really shines. To get our Echo set up, it's gonna be really easy. Obviously you need to make sure that you already have a factory seven-way, and then out the box, your Echo's gonna look like this. There's also gonna be this small little info sheet that you're gonna wanna grab, because this is gonna have the PIN for our pairing process.
And as we open up the cap here on the Echo, we're gonna find that we have a strap in here. There's also a sticker that has the same PIN code that's on that piece of paper, so if you ever lose that, you can refer back to here, and we're gonna take a look at which orientation the plug goes, and that way, we can determine the way the strap goes around. Now normally you have this latch that kind of goes down on a seven-pole and it keeps it in place, but as this is extended, and you're gonna have a seven-pole off of here, it does add a little bit of length and a little bit more stress. So that's where the strap comes into play, making sure that everything stays in place. Depending on what kind of vehicle you have, some of the Chevys are upside down, just get this set up to where you can easily get this strapped up.
So we'll just feed this in on the channels, and then we'll get this plugged in. And you might see as I plug this in, we do have this LED indicator light that is blinking blue, and that just means that we need to pair, and that's something that's nice on the quick reference guide. There's a breakdown of what all of those colors mean. So something as simple as an LED like this really does give us an indication as to what's going on and how to troubleshoot. We'll just tighten this down.
Got that on our cover. We're gonna wanna make sure that we get our phone paired up or have the app downloaded. So on the same thing we'll have a QR code that you can scan. So if you have an Android or an Apple, it's gonna work with those. And we're gonna be looking for the OneControl Auto by Lippert.
So go ahead and get that downloaded on your phone, and once you get your phone all set up, it's gonna bring you to this screen, and that's how we're gonna pair this. Now while we're on this screen, I'll also point out that the OneControl Auto app also can allow you to have monitoring of tire pressure and temperature by using the Tire link. Or you can also get the True Course, which goes into essentially sway control on a trailer. Now this is if it's really getting crazy, that's when it applies to the brakes to individual wheels, bringing it back to a center point, and eliminating and reducing that sway, basically preventing a large accident from happening. But either way, these are separate things that you could pick up later on, and still use with this system, which is really nice. You'll have all the controls and monitoring that you'll need right here at the touch of your phone. So since we're dealing with the Echo here, we'll just pair our device. Pretty quickly, this came up, so that blue light, as it was blinking, we'll just click this, and click Connect, and we're gonna see, 'cause once it is paired, we are going to see that it's gonna be a blue light. So here enter the pair with your phone, and that's where we're gonna get that PIN. So I'll just type that in now. Pairing is successful, so if we take a look, that blue light is going to be solid. You can also set up trailer profiles, and this might be something that you do later on once you kind of get everything dialed in, but that way, if you have multiple different trailers, you can name them. You know, we have our enclosed trailer today, or you can say our work trailer, and set those profiles, and that way when you're ready to use it, you just simply click that, and it's gonna go back to the last settings that you had dialed in for that. Today we don't have any profiles set up, so I'll just click Finish. So we have our pairing here. We're gonna want to plug in our trailer. We'll just click the Open tab here, and you'll see that our screen stays lit. And when you have this app open, it's going to stay like this. That way you have a quick, easy manual override button, super accessible. And then if you need to change the output or the
