New Delhi, July 9 (ANI): Afghan Ambassador to India, Farid Mamundzay on July 9 said that there are no such talks on closing the Indian consulates in the Afghanistan. He also emphasized that people of Afghanistan want the presence of Indian consulates in the country. He said, “For India to close down its consulates is something that would be done considering security circumstances. But of course, the people of Afghanistan value and want the presence of Indian consulates, its decision for the people and govt to make, with the Indian Government. We see no immediate threat. There are no such talks on closing Indian consulates”. He further said “Over 3,600 people have been killed since April, civilians alone. Closer to 1000 soldiers have been martyred, over 3000 have been wounded. So the cost that we pay with human lives is unparalleled”. (JA)
