A passenger ferry service connecting Nagapattinam and Sri Lanka is set to launch this Saturday, as announced by an official from the Nagapattinam Shipping Harbour Department. With this, India will resume a sea link that was broken 41 years ago. In 1982, it was discontinued due to increasing ethnic tensions in the island nation.
