A lot of you thought I loved the formula of the new @pradabeauty, but I want to be super clear: I loved the packaging and the overall vibe WAY more than the formulas. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Prada Beauty’s new Monochrome Hyper Matte Refillable Lipstick and their Dimensions Multi-Effect Refillable Eyeshadow Palette, and swatch them in store. First of all, we know that these highly prestigious luxury brands are notorious for opulent packaging. It’s true that packaging can drive up the price of a beauty product due to multiple factors such as the cost of high-quality materials, intricate design and branding, especially when a luxury license is involved. For me, upon a first impression and in store swatch of the formulas, I do not think that these formulas are delivering exceptional quality reflective of their price points. Particularly when swatching, not only I didn’t see enough pigment, but it wasn’t as creamy in application as these types of luxury eyeshadows often are. Similarly, I personally prefer more pigment on lips, especially at a $50 price point! As always, it’s up to you to decide what you think is worth your purchase, but for me, I most likely won’t be purchasing them. Unless y’all want a way deeper evaluation, let us know!
