Our teams have been working together to reduce the amount of time it takes between having a chest x-ray and CT scan - a key factor in diagnosing lung cancer.
It can take between 3 to 14 days but our new 'Straight to CT Scan' service reduces that time, sometimes ensuring it happens on the same day.
It's a piece of work that has been done with the patient at the very heart, early diagnosis of lung cancer results in a better outcome and the shorter time reduces anxiety for the patient.
