Among the esteemed MacDowell Fellows completing the 2021 MacDowell Benefit program is award-winning filmmaker Sharon Greytak, a recipient of seven MacDowell residencies between 1987 and 2002. Named by The Independent as one of “10 Filmmakers to Watch in 2014” Sharon is an award-winning NYC-based independent filmmaker who has written, produced, and directed feature-length fiction films, documentaries, and experimental shorts. She speaks of her experiences at MacDowell as being incredibly helpful because she was able to “be inside the new work 24 hours a day.”
