The hearse of Dr Simon Hercules, a 55-year-old neurosurgeon from Chennai who had succumbed to COVID-19 while treating patients was stopped on its way to the cemetery and attacked by a mob. Police have arrested 20 people for attacking Dr Hercules' family & friends. The violent incident has understandably angered many, including the medical fraternity.
