Predator 212 snowblower swaps are being very popular. great bang for the buck. They may not perform as well has a 3-500$ snow specific engine but they do have great power & performance for the cost. They do lack in the shielding department, as they are designed to be able to run to hotter environments, here is a couple tricks to make your 212 Snow ready
1) Intake/engine cover. Install and airbox & engine cover off a Honda HS55 snowblower engine. Airboxes are easy to find search "Honda GX air box" the engine cover will be a little more difficult. Its Honda part #16401-736-000
2) Jetting: stock jetting is .028, some machines will "hunt" with this, you sometimes get away with running the machine at 1/4 choke, but larger jetting is the solution. Adjustable main jet is the best route. Or install a larger main(.032)
3) Full wrap recoil handle & Remote kill switch
4) Name brand spark plug. NGK or Autolite
