Residents of the Trademore estate located in Nigeria's capital Abuja, have called on city officials to shun plans to demolish several properties within the estate.

They say this will not solve the problem of flooding which has made headlines in recent days, and call on city officials to follow solutions recommended by the estate’s residents.
