In June 2017, a TU-154 aircraft carrying Sergei Shoigu, Russia's defense minister, was flying in international airspace over the Baltic Sea, where Russia had been making frequent and aggressive military prowess displays at the time. A NATO F-16 intercepted the aircraft, and was flying very close to the wing, alerting everyone on board that they were being watched. Suddenly, a second fighter soon arrived on the scene.
