a journey is but a journey if not for detour. when you set out to travel, if everything is as planned, you feel you have achieved what you set out to do. but when things turn out different from what you have planned before, you need to overcome the gap and move on. and that would be more than achievement, it would be victory. achievement is getting what you have planned for, victory is winning a battle or a war.
people arrived at the serendipity jetty as early as 9am for the 2nd fast speed boat trip to koh rong leaving at 11.00am. he intended to book the 1st one at 8am, but was fully booked. half an hour before 11.00am, they were informed the boat would not dock at this jetty due to choppy sea condition, they had to be fetched in an over-crowded bus to another jetty 20 minutes away. and the boat did not come until past noon. the journey from sihanoukville to koh rong took about an hour. so their plan to spending most of the day in koh rong did not materialise. instead they had time to visit the sihanoukville phsar leu market and enjoy the bus ride from one jetty to another with a full busload of tourists. that were extras they did not plan for.
