During the 2 weekends in August of 2019, the (M) train was rerouted over the (B) and (C) line on the Central Park West Line to have supplement service of the (1) line because of the switch replacement on 96th Street and Broadway on the 7th Avenue Line. The 7th Avenue was entirely shut down and had to alternate each lines. As a result, the 6th and 8th Avenue line benefits the riders to reach into downtown Manhattan to their destination.
