It's Thanksgiving time and lots of folks are gathering with friends and family enjoying a nice turkey for a family meal! We will be enjoying turkeys as well. but as farm friends! Have you ever thought about having a pet turkey? Well, maybe you should think about adding them to your flock of chickens! There are a few major differences between chickens and turkeys that one needs to consider, but in the end, I think turkeys can be a great addition to your family flock! We only have two, and we aren't harvesting and eating our birds, but if you decide to, go for it! Our birds are more to add ambiance to our little mountain farm, but everyone can homestead how they want!
